Fiona McCabe

Fiona graduated from the University of Dublin, Trinity College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy. Fiona began her career under the mentorship of Ms. Lorraine Carroll, (a UCD Lecturer) in Dublin. She was then offered a prestigious position with ‘Riverdance- The Show’ one year later and began to tour the World.

In 2013, and after several thousand performances onstage, she hung up her shoes accepting the position of Medical Officer and Physiotherapist and continued to tour Europe, North America and in China with ‘Riverdance’.

In 2016, she returned home to her native Co. Meath and worked in private practice where she gained vast insight in to complex chronic conditions and pain management. Her dream became reality when she established BeLú Body Clinic in Celbridge in Spring 2024.

Fiona is also a qualified in Medical Acupuncture with the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS), who deliver gold-standard training internationally to healthcare professionals such as doctors and nurses, enabling Fiona to provide high quality medical acupuncture to her clients. Fiona continues to work closely with the BMAS as am assessor and guest lecturer.

Fiona has also worked alongside the Irish Olympic Boxing Team (AIBA) and has treated cast members of some of London’s WestEnd Theatrical performances.

Her grá lies in the Arts, supporting Irish culture- being the official Physiotherapist for the National Theatre of Ireland, ‘The Abbey Theatre’, Dublin and The ‘Druid Theatre Company’.

She plays the fiddle in regular traditional Irish music sessions and is also an accomplished classical Pianist. She is a qualified Irish Dancing Teacher (TCRG) and Adjudicator (ADCRG) with An Coimmisiún Le Rince Gaelacha (CLRG) and regularly travels Worldwide on an adjudicating panel.

She is a wife & a mother of 2 beautiful ‘Irish twins’, Lughaidh and Beatrice. 

Riverdance Biography:

Fiona began Irish dancing aged 3 under the mentorship of Scoil Rince Uí Shé in Dublin.

She went on to win 10 Leinster, All-Ireland Great Britain, British National Championships and World Championships in both solo and team dancing.

Fiona began her professional career in Busch Gardens, USA whilst studying to complete her degree. After graduating, she joined ‘Riverdance’ in which she graced the stage as both troupe and female principal dancer for over 6 years.
